How to Write a Private Message

Writing a user a private message (PM) means the message will only be seen between you and the other member. This tutorial will show you how to write a PM, and the various places you can access a member’s profile to write them a message.

Step 1: Locate the person you want to write a private message to. You can locate people a variety of ways (shown by the red arrows):

• Click on “Find Friends” and type in the member’s username
• Click on your “Friends” tab
• Click on a topic in the “Forum” to see what other nurses are saying and click on their avatar photo.

Next, click on “Send user a Message” located under the avatar photo.

Step Two: You can address your PM to more than one person by typing their name in the “To” field by separating usernames by a comma. Fill out the subject line and start typing your message in the empty field below the toolbar. You can use the toolbar to format your message or add emoticons. After you’re finished typing your message, click “Send.”
