10 Most Annoying Patients

The Chatterbox
Like the energizer bunny, the Chatterbox just keeps going, and going, and going! Unlike the Liar, who stays close-lipped about her history, the Chatterbox will share his life story and then some. He’ll be happy to rattle on about the non-medical details of his life, with no signs of stopping. Sure, the Chatterbox may be lonely and need someone to talk to, but you don’t have time to be his substitute BFF.
How to deal: Don’t be afraid to cut off the Chatterbox, or redirect the conversation to the purpose of his hospital visit. Your time is precious and you need to get to other patients who need you too. The Chatterbox may not be pleased with you, but you just can’t sit around and chat all day. Tell him you’d be happy to return later if you have a moment, but other sick patients await.
