I LIVE IN NEBRASKA AND HAVE BEEN AN LPN FOR 7 YEARS. I AM MAKING BETWEEN $19-$21/ HR. BUT THAT IS AT A PRN JOB AND AGENCY NURSING...... NO PTO TIME BUT I CAN MAKE MY OWN SCHEDULE

hi i live in california. i am a RN i finished it in 2007 december still i dont have any job whereever i go they are asking for experience as a new grad it is very hard to start a job in california. lot of compitition. still looking for a job. if anybody have any thoughts please let me know .

It has taken 28 yrs. to reach the grand salary of $20.25 as LPN in LTC. OVERWORKED AND UNDER PAID. Still love the profession, job leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. South Carolina was probably #11 on the worst paying states. The state is always near the bottom of every negative list, no matter what.

I am a LPN in the State of New York. The highest I have made is$30.00/hourin New York City. I notice New York did not make the list of10 Highest Paying States for LPN's. Donna

For those who are CNA's interested in being an LVN they have a test you can take called the METHOD3 but it's only in the state of California. has anyone heard anything here on the nursing link about this?

I am a LPN/LVN in North Carolina and Grab roughly $18-$19/hr at a LTC facility. The atmosphere is pleasant and hours plentiful. I am also 1 of 2 male nurses onsite

I live in California and I have been an LVN for 6 months and I currently work in a skilled nursing facility making $23/hr but I here from former classmates that on average most places are starting new grads at $18/hr.

well...i currently work in illinois(chicago area) i currently make $20.50/hr. and that is low for chicago area. i work in a rehab/nursing center with about 30-35 patients. med pass is about 1.5hr
on da skilled floor. the work is not hard so i guessthe pay is not bad.but i know i can make much more. with doubles and fulltime my net is about $1700 bi weekly.

I live in Oklahoma and have worked in several different nursing homes and know of a few hospital's starting pay has ranged from: 14.25 an hour to 17 an hour for charge nurse in nursing homes and 13 to 17 an hour at hospitals, and 10 to 15 an hour at assisted living and dr. offices

i live in western newyork and make 18.71 an hr. i have been a nurse for 18 years. i live about a half hr away from buffalo...the nurses out there make perhaps a dollar more than me-while the nurses a half hr south of where i live make anywhere from 13 to 15 bucks an hr. i am responsible for all the care of 40 residents...i am exhausted...when will anyone realize what we are worth????

Hi. all. I am in colorado I am a CNA and and starting the nursing program in the fall. I called up a temp place they said starting RN's are at 39.00 hour. I know that has nothing to do with anything here.
