Nurses are the link between doctors and patients. A great nurse has excellent interpersonal skills and works well in a variety of situations with different people. They work well with other nurses, doctors, and other members of the staff.

Nurses are the glue that holds the hospital together. Patients see nurses as a friendly face and doctors depend on nurses to keep them on their toes. A great nurse balances the needs of patient and doctor as seamlessly as possible.

    Every good nurse must develop all these qualities... our job is very sacred! We deal with people's lives everyday. The way we act and perform our duties can make a difference in our patient's hospital experience - it could either be non-threatening or traumatic!

    I think this is a great article. Compassion, kindness, intelligence,and flexibility are qualities that all nurses should have. A " know it all attitude" does not have a place in the medical profession. We all (esp nurses) have to stick together and help each other to learn and grow in knowledge and skills. Kindness can be contagious.

    Nurses definitely has to develop good problem solving skills in dealing with professional and personal activities in dealing with day to day situations., every moment we will be facing certain challenges in life, hence Nurses should think rationally, analytically, apply cognitive, conative, affective & comprehensive skills and utilize the various resources, participate in inservice and continuing educational training programmes, group seminars, put sincere efforts in reviewing related literature to deal with the problematic situations independently, to have stress free working environment
