Handshakes, A History
The handshake has a long history, even making the Guinness Book of World Records on several occasions — Atlantic City Mayor Joseph Lazarow shook over 11,000 hands in July 1977! And the longest handshake on record lasted 12 hours, 34 minutes and 56 seconds (September 21, 2009).
