As a newbie here, I would just like to say how eager I am to make some connections and read the articles available on the site. I am particularly interested in getting on legal nurse consulting and me freelance writing in the health field. I'm coming up on 25 years of experience in an acute care setting including ortho, neuro, trauma and rehab. Look forward to meeting some of you on this site!

Thanks for the quiz and sign-on, I am an LPN with 18+ years in all care areas and am REALLY interested in getting my BSN to return to my first love, teaching so I can pass on to the youth in this country how to be a good, smart, and compssionate nurse, or STNA. I am in SW Ohio and would love to see the discussion panels. Also can anyone tell me why the job market in my area is simply "flooded" with LPN's right now? I am a unemployed nurse , yes you read right UNEMPLOYED ! If healthcare is the "safe" industry at this time in our economy why am I having such a hard time obtaining fulltime employment? Please help!

Just got on today and I am so excited!!! I did not know this was out here. I am like a messenger and whatever I learn that is good and healthy, I will pass to others....I am all about educating, but at the present moment I am not getting paid to do it....LOL....My day will come....this is my passion to educate. I am an RN with a BSN but feel too trapped in the conventional nursing job because I am an outside of the box thinker and get alot of innovative ideas that could better a situation. In a conventional job, I have had my co-workers and supervisors torment me for my innovative ideas when they asked for suggestions and then turned around and used my ideas. I don't want to put myself in this situation again, therefore, I am creating my own business. However, I am open to know if there is an employer out there who is open to Holistic Nursing. Any feedback would help...It is more important to me to work in an environment without strife and jealousy than working in an environment with alot of benefits/high salary---where there is alot of strife. My organizational skills of setting up committees and teams are great and teaching other team leaders to run with the ball . Any suggestions?

Hi! I am happy because finally I feel connected! Thanks for the welcome. I appreciate it so much. I am an RN here in the Philippines but as of now, I'm not practicing my profession. I'm teaching instead in a small school offering Nursing Assistant Courses. I had worked as a Staff Nurse in King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, Al Qassim Region of Saudi Arabia for 2 years and honestly I MISS the work. For me, Nursing is a worthwhile profession. I LOVE nursing. I want to learn more, so that I can become better. I'm glad there is NURSING LINK! Thank You to that individual who started this and to all of the staff. More power!!!

Hello. I have been an adult critical care nurse for 10 years now and would really like to move to the NICU. I haven't really had the opportunity until now since we have moved to the Atlanta area. Im desperately in need of a new challenge and have been wanting to work with babies for years. Im hoping I may find an opportunity here.

This is wonderful! I was just about to give up nursing entirely and exlore other ways to help people. Hopefully this site can help me find a job in my area, all the open jobs are for RNs so I am getting ready to go back to school for that since being an LPN hasn't gotten me a job, maybe if I go back to school and get my RN i will be able to get a job.

Several of the articles I tried to link to either are no longer available or don't exist. This was very frustrating. I would have enjoyed this article more and gotten more out of it if I could have followed the links.
