Genetics Nurse
Genetics Nurses, sometimes referred to as Genetics Counselors, provide care and consultation to patients and families who are either suffering from genetics diseases and disorder, or who feel that they are at increased risk for such ailments. Their duties involve constructing detailed family histories of family medical histories. These histories provide genetics nurses with the ability to properly identify and assess patients’ and family members’ genetic risks.
