Hello! My name is Lisa, I’m with Expedient Medstaff. We are a nationwide staffing agency and we currently have had tremendous success placing nurses in every specialty across the country.
We have been in business for eleven years now. We are an industry leader in placing traveling professionals in settings that create a win-win relationship and for them and the facility. We are JCAHO accredited, so we are held to the same high standards as the facilities we place our candidates in.
I am a recruiter that believes in focusing on honesty, integrity, and valuing nurses I work with. I have a high retention rate with nurses I place as a result of these values.
If things aren't headed in the direction you would like them to or you just get curious as to what we have to offer, I would be happy to discuss with you the many benefits of being a part of the Expedient Medstaff team.

I am currently working on my senior year in nursing school. I graduate in may with my BSN and would eventually like to experience traveling nursing for a few years. My BF (soon to be fiance) is a Marine so I would go where ever he goes (or so is the plan.) I am just wondering if anyone has any advice as to the prerequisites required to get into traveling nursing so soon after graduation? I have heard I need at least one year of med/surg experience and plan on heading in that direction anyways. If anyone has any more information or advice I am all ears! Thanks!

I am going into travel nursing in Jan. of 2009. I'm a CA LVN for 16 years, there are so many companies that will definitely hire LVN's for travel. Our jobs may be harder to find than for RN's but that's why I'm in school (again :-) to get my RN/BSN through distance learning. Only way to do it now for me, and I can study while on the road!! I'd like to talk to DDtrola (SP?) if she happens to read this!!
Anyway, LVN's, interested in travel....keep looking, ask around this site for recommendations
on the best companies, word of mouth is always the way to go. In fact, I got called for a job this morning! Had to turn it down but she's putting me on her spreadsheet! I am already booked for Oct through Dec. on Flu Shot Clinics assignment. Working my way up to being an independent contractor when I'm done with school and am ready to see the open country!! I am bringing my best friend and doggie, (2 separate people! lol) with me in Jan. I don't have a job booked yet, but I'm ready to do it now, I have been just inundated with opportunities....not to say I'd get everything I want, but there is an Office job, (Doc's office) travel job that I hope will want me in Jan....that I did for 6 years with my (ex) doc hubby. I'd love to do that traveling.
Have a great day my angels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey where's my smiley angel??????????

Spouses are allowed to travel. I had a friend who was able to bring their wife with them. As a matter of fact, he just packed up and headed to another state.
