LOL, I'm a new grad in Missouri and there are NO jobs for us. I have seen some for RNs with experience, but it looks like I am going to be eating Ramen and egg samiches for a while. Not sure what I'm supposed to do now.

I am a recruiter for a nurse agency in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We work with 60 hopsitals in North Texas and I have been getting numerous requests from them for short term staffing and also perm placement. It has been a little slow going there for a while, but I really have seen the requests for nurses pick up in North Texas in the past 30 days. Just in the last week, I received 13 new full time permanent placement requests for staff nurses and management.

I too found this article curious. With a depressed economy no elective procedures are done. Someone believed the adage that nurses can always find a job. I have been looking for 3 months.

Who write's these articles? A web page for nurses where the information is not evidence based? Click on the link for Penn and what do you get? Nothing. If you go to their website there is a list of potential jobs but how long have these same jobs been posted and isn't the hospital system on a job freeze? In fact most hospitals (at least in the northeastern corridor) including Penn Health are on a job freeze. Please sir or madam check your facts and verify your data before you write an article.
