I agree with treebabyblues, what areas are these jobs in? I am an LVN in the state of Texas and as far as the Dallas area is concerned a lot of the hospital here are going all RN which pushes a LVN into longterm care, ambulatory care, or home health. Did you notice that Texas is not on that list.

I know that the state of florida does not pay well and does not really think LPN are Nurses. The RN get HIgh risk pay in the prison system but Lpn does not. They are not even getting the cost of living raises. LPN is around inmates over 75% most RN are not around them that much.

Where are their jobs at? Acute care hospitals, nursing homes, or offices? It would be interesting to know what job actually is high paying and which is low paying... Also, what about the respect between RN's and LPN's. Are you treated as part of a team or as someone who has to prove that they can answer a phone.

What a place to work in CT if you lived over the border in say NY the Adirondack area... lower cost of living... high wages.. or if they still bus people in for the shift work.... go for a weekend and only have to work 2 weekends a month and make as much as a month in another state... interesting thought don't you think?

I happen to know that Florida ranks right up there on the higher paying list. I'm not sure if it's just my area (East Central) or all of Florida. I've heard that Orlando area even pays better!

Ct has great wages, but the cost of living is through the roof. I live in ct and it is not worth it...The costs definately out weigh the benefits
