5 Unique Opportunities...Just for Nurses!
NursingLink
Are you thinking about becoming a nurse? Maybe you are already on your way to becoming one. Or, let’s say you’ve been in the profession for years. Whatever the case may be, you may not know about all of the unique opportunities that are out there for you.
3. Volunteer Nursing
Do you want to make a real contribution to people’s lives? In the U.S. and around the world, hospitals and clinics are understaffed. They need your help to care for patients and carry through daily operations. You can travel the world, experience new cultures, and use your skills to heal people.
Usually, volunteer nurses need to be RN’s with approximately 3 years of work experience. Many hospitals need volunteers with specific specialties such as HIV/AIDS care and prevention. If you have teaching experience, even better.
There are tons of volunteer resources on the Internet. And, you may have luck at your local volunteer center, library, or medical center.

Why does the Army Nurses Corp only allow RN's up to age 46? Do we become vegetables after that? Give me a break? I'm looking for a job and I have a son who is a soldier serving in Iraq. There is nothing I would love more than to help over there and give service to our country. Heck, I'd work for free!

Nursing camp. I love it!! I wish these were around when I was a kid in high school. I might've entered the profession sooner.
