Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, walking, even running — nurses handle more physical chores
than most professions because it’s the furthest thing from a desk job. While most white collar workers spend eight hours (or more) in a chair each day, that’s hardly the case for nurses, who don’t know the meaning of the word “sedentary” while on a shift.
