I am also interested in Forensics. Does anyone have advice where to start? I already have my BSN. I've worked in Med/Surg, NeuroICU, PCU and LTC. I've just never seen and ad for Forensic nursing. I would like shadow a forensic nurse to see if it's what i really want to do. That's one thing you've got to love about this job is there is some many choices out there.

Well, Val, adult psychiatric nursing is a very rewarding and career path! BUT, before embarking on a particular path - i would suggest that you acquire Med-Surg experience. Patients can go bad fast and if all you know is your particular specialty area . . .
