My sister is a nurse and I know how hard it was for her while in medical school. I bet that not many people can endure that much and not that many have a learning capacity which can cope with he volume of information required in medical school.

Being a nurse is a really tough job and I just with that more people would realize that. Maybe people should read the article here. I for one understand very well how hard is to have this job which is not exactly a job: it's more like a vocation.

I guess that any job has its own training period and schedule. Some of course require more initial training than others, for example a nurse. But I remember reading on a blog that you need to do a certain thing for 10,000 hours before becoming a master at that. Initial basic training doesn't cover that, but experience over the years. If you analyze long term learning, being a nurse could probably be as hard as learning to play winning hands of poker. You never know how hard is one thing until you want to master it.

Why is it anyone that has a degree in anything other then the medical field can retain their RN quicker then someone that is in the medical field like an LPN. I have nothing against anyone with a degree,I think that is great, but when it comes to an LPN its so hard for them to get into school now. What is the deal with that, its like its no help for us out there.
