I had this done once when I presented in the ER with Abd. pain, but I wasn't drawn on.
This is how they showed us in assessment class (1st) semester, although we check for rebound tenderness differently, we drew on each other then & measured. It's only palpable in the case of hepatomegaly, otherwise it's percussed by the careful listener!
