Love it - my son is a Marine and was wounded in the initial assault on Baghdad back in '03. I am not sure but i bet those bags are to try to keep the sand out. My son tells me the dirt over there is like talcum powder, super fine and very very sticky - gets in EVERYTHING no matter what they do
