You belong in the ER with all the rest of us with a warped sense of humor ;)
Never told you that I started out in Neuro ICU (although I really was looking for an ER job) but my preceptor got fired and I was transferred to an acute med-surg floor, which lasted only 2 months. That's when I decided to go back to the NE to look for work. The job I took was the ER training program at a level one trauma center because when asked "why do you want to work ER" I answered, because I have a warped sense of humor that I think will fit right in here"
Trust me, you belong in the ER. You'll get your med-surg experience by doing holds waiting for a bed on the floor because that's the assignements they like to give new grads.
