About Me
When my employers and co-workers get to know me, my nickname has always found its' way to be "FireCracker"! I am a very energetic person! I have always loved to put all of me into everything I do; especially at work and with my son! I am a very quick learner and love to work with others as a team to accomplish great tasks! I love to learn and to have the ability to use my knowledge and acquired skills everyday at work; especially if this gives me the chance to be respected for all that I do and can accomplish. Until nursing, I was never respected for my knowledge, skill, and determination to do the best that I can do; but rather paid less for my drive,ability and willingness to do whatever is necessary to make sure the job gets done and gets done right! I was "used" on too many occasions because of this and just wanted more out of life. Before I had my son, it was not so much about the pay as it was the respect. I wanted all of the things that come along with having tremendous responsibilities, not just the work. With the experience of having my son (I spent a month in the hospital with an emergency cesarian section) and becoming a new mother, I realized my true calling in life. If it were not for those nurses who new exactly what they were doing and took such great care of me emotionally and physically, I do not think I would have made it through my tremendous experience during my hospital stay. I have always loved caring for others and helping anyone I can in anyway I could; this is where I found Nursing to be a perfect match for my personality and my physical expectations from a job. I think I would go crazy if I had to sit and stare at a computer all day, like I had when I was originally training at Drexel University for engineering. I love being busy and being on my feet all day. If my job helps give me a work out, then I have accomplished two goals with one! Especially with being a single mother, having time for my son means everything to me!

Bicycling, Camping, Cooking, Hiking, Running, Snowboarding, Sports, Taking my 3 yr old son and his friends to the park, swimming, playgrounds, sledding, and out to eat.
