I think you will like home health. I plan to do some part-time home health when I get caught up on things around the house. I have about 44 patients and barely have time to check on, let alone talk to them. They all want attention and do crazy stuff to get it. I have learned to write really fast to get the charting done quicker and when I pass pills I try to spend a little extra time with different ones each night. One of my hospice patients has not talked to me in the nearly month I have worked there. Then night before last she said "Thank You" after I gave her, her pills. I was really shocked. I caressed her cheek and told her she was welcome. Then she said "Your hand is cold" LOL That sort of stuff makes up for those who really try to make my night miserable. All in all I do like it for the most part. I had done home health like 20 years ago and I liked those that I had on a daily basis to watch the "PRice is Right" or "Jeopardy" and have them tell me about their lives. It was really easy to get very attached to them. I miss that. Good luck with it. I think you'll like it. God Bless you to!!

Hi Sweetie How R U? Hope all is well. I am working Part-time 3days per week. Sometimes 1 day extra if need be.Plus I have been training new Nurses & they have been getting better training then I have esp with the paperwork. 1 Day the Nurse was put @ the Desk w/the Unit secretary & she was told about All the Paperwork now I was able to even get that!

Hello! How have you been? Are you working or going to school? I haven't talked to you in awhile. I am working at a nursing home about four miles from my house on the overnight shift. I like it so far, but it can really get hectic and some nights, I come close to crying!! The time goes so fast though and I do like that. I also like the overnights, because the other two shifts can be a real zoo I am told. At least most of my patients are asleep most of the time. I have about 42 to 44 usually.
