Thanks for serving. My wife was a flight nurse. Her brother is with JAG. My father was a retired Colonel. I have a brother that is a Reserve Major. I also have a couple of nephews that have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. May God bless you and keep you.

I admire you for your accomplishment of the career path you have taken. You certainly have not done it the easy way. It's my experience that nurses who take a progressive approach like you have (CNA...ADN.....NAVY....Working Nurse) make the most efficient, well rounded nurses and demonstrate that there is no part of the job that you won't do. Your patients are lucky to have you. Rock on.

So you used to live in AZ, huh? I've only lived here about 3 years, so I'm still trying to get used to it. Spent a few years in Cali as a travel nurse, all over LA. Loved it, so miss the beach. Actually, I grew up in NC, was born in NY. Miss the seasons, I guess, the greenery. The desert has a unique kind of beauty, tho'. Thanks for letting us browse thru your pics. Love your beach pics. Turks and Caicos looks lovely. My daughter's been telling me about it. Your fiance Shawn is a cutie-pie, BTW. You make a handsome couple. And do hope your grandma's doing better; love the shoes! Take care. Angie

Hello... I have worked as a LMT on side doing Chair massage for geriatrics in an Assisted Living... It went well. I made good $ but the "Program Director" left and the work dried up. I also got busy with my kids in sports.
Pediatrics is similiar to geriatrics in my opinion, but I agree that there are other factors...
I interviewed for a Pharmasuetical sales job on Monday. Im considering doing something in addition to nursing. Im very close to getting my RN. As an LPN I feel burnt out & overworked/ underpaid. I know it will all work out.
I have rambled. Im doing prvt duty now. You have a great day. Talk later. Allan

Hello,
I choose sign language because I love the fact that it is nonverbal. When I was younger I hated to talk to I learned to sign. Only problem no one knew what I was signing. But I really think it would be awesome to be able to work with who are deaf. I am addicted to the Discovery Health Channel and I have seen multiple shows where a sign translator was needed and there was not one so communication was at a loss. And I think sign is really awesome because there are so many aspects of sign like body language, facial expressions ect.
