I already mentioned this problem before. I had the hep B series done and had the titer done and it came back non reactive. I spoke to my physician 2-3 percent of the population this happens to. In their practice I am the 3rd person this has happened to. I spoke with the head of the nursing program where I am enrolled in nursing prerequesities prior to doing clinical and it is mandated by the CDC that I need to have the series done again and have the titer done again. My physician has already told me the titer will come back with a (n) false/positive. If there is an outbreak and it still shows nonreactive they will give me counseling but it is required to take the clinical portion of the nursing program. From what I understand my antibodies in my blood are to low and can't be counted. Has anyone ever had this happen before?

Does anyone know anything about the hepatis B series of 3 shots. I had them done maybe 4 years ago. I just had a titer done and it doesn't show that I have it in my system. I was told I need to have a hepatitis booster and then have the titer done again. Does this make any sense? I'm applying to the clinical part of the nursing program for the ADN this summer once I take the dosage and calculations course. I can't get in without proving I had the Hep B series.
