About Me
After 37 years of nursing, I am semi-retired. Still work 1-3 days per week testing nursing aide students for their CNA. Long career in Critical Care as nurse and supervisor, hospital supervisor and from DON to Area Manager for outpatient dialysis. Some home health, geriatrics, and hospice along the way. I loved the patients and the staff. My greatest gift has been in mentoring others to accomplish all that they can. My motto has always been: If I take care of the staff, they will take care of the patients. I am widowed for 3 years now. Have a biological daughter and son, and had an adopted son. My living son is also my Pastor and my daughter is the church administrator. I lost my adopted son in 2001 in a tragic accident. He was our pride and joy for 26 of his short 27 years. I'm passionate about Jesus, my two little Yorkies, and living every day to be the best that I can. My health is still very good and I am in the "wind-down" mode as far as working due to circumstances in the health and subsequent deaths of my husband and daughter in law. I now live in a mother in law apartment at my son's house to help take care of the grandsons. With all life's up's and down's, it is still good!
