Three job interviews today...so thankful especially with the way the economy is these days! I'm thinking about working on the Oncology unit...loved the nurses and staff there! Must decide by tomorrow! Please say a prayer that I make the right decision! Thank you and God bless!

Well, my Pinning Ceremony was held last night!! Can't believe I'm a GVN now! Now to do some NCLEX practice and hopefully pass boards by January 15 (my Transition to RN app has to be turned in by Jan 19). Luckily I have taken all my prereq's for the RN program. So, the Transition to RN doesn't actually begin until May, 2011, which will give me time to work and I'm taking a Spanish class (thought that might help in the hiring process). Now to find a job...would you believe that here in Tyler, Texas it has been hard trying to find a GVN/LVN job. The two major hospitals here have a hiring freeze on LVN's, well, unless you know someone who know's someone! They are really wanting just RN's (one of the reasons I'm going back to get mine), so me and my classmates (and other graduates from previous semesters) are having trouble finding a job. Oh, we can probably find 'something', but I thought that there would plenty to choose from. Please say a prayer for me that I will find the right job soon. Some of us are having to drive to cities/towns outside of Tyler.
