Personal

About Me: I received my license what seems like a thousand years ago as a licensed psychiatric technician but with marriage etc, etc I let the license laps for many years. Am now wanting to go for my LVN and then bridge over to RN. I live in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles and am looking for an online lVN school currentkly. I work as a patient advocate helping people through the misery of our health care system which I find very rewarding and I also do interventions for families who have friends or loved ones who cannot seem to give up abusing substances. I love this work and find it extremely rewarding although it can be very sad and tiring at times as well. I have a wonderful boyfriend of six years who is a professional in the music industry...I am a three time cancer survivor and am enjoying life more so now that I ever have before. I have always worked in the health care field in one way or another but am also a very creative person with two songs I wrote published with ASCAP. I am a lot of fun, real outgoing and enthusiastic about life and people...I love helping people and have since I was a little kid. My father was a psychoanalyst who recently passed this past December of Parkinson's and he was my hero for sure. My mother passed in 1990. I have a younger sister with whom I am very close and she has two daughters who are six and eight who I am really close to as well. I am blessed and hope you are too. This is a cool site and I am looking forward to becoming more familiar with it.
Hobbies:: Cooking, Photography, Reading, Scrapbooking, Traveling, Writing songs and am writing a book
Favorite Movies:: Hustle and Flow, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Shawshank Redemption, Wedding Crashers...it goes on and on
Favorite TV Shows:: Discovery Channel and cartoon...Top Cat namely and Bugs Bunny
Favorite Music:: All sorts of music. Too much to put down here.

We are in the midst of a huge spiritual shift now on this planet and it is very exciting time. People are becoming aware of their vast positive capabilities and are acting on them!!!!
It is a time of change and growth and peace actually seems to be a possibility. With books like The Secret, The Power of Now, A New Earth, Autobiography of a Yogi and then a host of others, we are all capable of making this Earth and extremely attractive place to live.
If just one person performs a random act of kindness anonymously it is contagious...pass it on. Be kind. Give a smile. Laugh more. Hug often. Life is meant to be beautiful and it can be when we let go of fear. Confide in someone.
We can make a difference and we are.
I am glad to be alive and I hope you are too!!!!
