Thanks for your invitation. I can still remember how it felt being a new nurse. I was advised by the Nurse Administrator that I "looked like I would do well in Emergency Room and crosstraining in ICU" I had asked to work in OB but she said they did not need anyone. Of all the departments in the hospital ER and ICU were the least on my list. I was a nervous wreck for the first six months and then I started to learn so many skills I started feeling more confident as a real nurse. I am sure it won't take as long for you to feel more confident. My thoughts are with you,

You will get there and then you will wonder why you were feeling so overwhelmed! One day, you will run across someone in that same situation and you will remember :) Don't forget those guys!
