Just giving an update on my mother, she is doing much better. They found a clot in her left external carotid artery. It was small, but enough to occlude the artery. Luckily, they were quickly able to get her on the right combination of medications to help break up the clot. She had some minor side effects from the stroke initially (right side of her face was very droopy, right side of her body weak and droopy as well) but is now recovering nicely. She is in physical therapy and is on medications to prevent future clots (and is now FINALLY listening to my advice on taking better care of herself). Doctors expect a 100% recovery within the month.
I just want to thank all of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! I am thankful for each and everyone of you! I wish you all lots of happiness and blessings!
