Yes, the parents should be in jail. A child died because of parental ignorance. Having faith is great, I'm a spiritual person myself but if my son is direly ill I'll take him to the hospital and pray while he's getting treatment. It's pretty sad that so many seem to lack common sense in today's world.
Look, I'm all for having faith, but give me a break. A little girl is dead because her silly parents thought God would somehow miraculously intervene and save her. Prayer didn't work this time.
The power of prayer? Wow...when are people going to realize prayer isn't always enough? So sad this little girl had to die due to her parents ignorance. The sentence wasn't harsh enough.
Yes, they should go to jail. Why we do have the faith that God is out there and helping us make decisions in our lives, he also gives us the means to help ourselves...i.e. call the police. If she would have gotten shot from a stray bullet, would they have also prayed? It's just common sense, use the resources that are out there to help your children and while they are in recovery or on the way to the hospital or even while you are dialing the number to 9.1.1 you can be saying an internal prayer but be proactive.

The really funny thing is.. had prayer cured the girl, it would have been an act of god...
On the plus side.. EVERYONE finds jesus in jail... they wont have to.. they already have jesus.

God helps those who help themselves. God has sent nurses, doctors and medications. I too believe patients can improve with Gods help.

Yes, they should be in jail. This is a pure case of neglect.

Yep - -a homicide of some sort - definitely warrants prison time!

Does no one think this is murder?
