Does it seem fair that Bush was always on the defensive for the same things that Obama gets away with?  Where is the equality in the press?

I agree Aisha. I never said that Bush was a great President, or that I wish he was back in office, but I do think we might have someone even worse, but the press seems to love everything he does.

I think most people would agree that they are happy Bush is out of office. the problem is, we have replaced one problem with yet another, and quite possibly and even bigger one!

Obama didn't HAVE to take over anything. He RAN for this office, he wasn't forced to take this position. He isn't a politician, not a military man, not even a business man, he's a celebrity with an Ivy League education who can read well from a teleprompter...he and his wife jet setting around the world, making commercials to promote talk shows (George Lopez), and taking more vacations in the last 6 months than you and I will probably see in our lifetimes. Like I've said before, I'm pretty sure he received a thorough job description before being sworn in. I don't commend him for anything because he has shown me nothing. It's just too bad for all of the U.S that he doesn't have the capacity to actually perform the functions of the Presidency.

bush was like a puppet. He had dick cheney play with his strings in order for dick and all the 'big guys' to make TRILLIONS of dollars while at war. It's all a big scheme because money is the only thing our government seems to care about. We should be commending Obama for having to take over what that arrogant low life left our country in.

John, our press is so biased. They aren't supposed to be, but times have changed. Gone are the days when newsmen broke Watergate. They're too busy pushing their liberal agenda. Fox gets made fun of, but they do at least put people with opposing views on their shows.

They at least try to show the opposing point of veiw. Not like Bill Maher who had his whole panel lefties on his last show. When he does have a conservative, he stacks the deck against them by having the rest of the panel be liberals. They all sit around and talk about how stupid this country is.Janenne Garofolo even spouts out how you're racist if you disagree with Obama.

The MSM has lost so much credibilty. That's why us "dummies' have increased Fox's ratings. At least we can get some truth out of them. Let them keep making fun of Glenn Beck. His books are #1, and his ratings are high. Guess we're just a bunch of idiots ignoring the elite know- it -all MSM. They are so out of touch.

I think a lot of things are being skewed and people are just ignoring a lot of things too. We are letting things go that shouldn't be let go. Whoo you think pays for the parties thrown at the white house? I feel that our government is fighting and not really looking at issues. People are dying and we are just watching it happen. I hate comparing presidents to each other. They all had different issues and were in different times. We blame the president for the war but our congress and senate support it too. People forget that those guys are the checks and balances put in place to keep america from being a dictatorship! Also, I hope that who ever is in office does the best he can do. So far all I see is spending no real issues solved. Scary if you ask me.

To be completely honest, I totally agree with you Nurse_John. I feel as though Obama is treated differently because he is the first African American president. Well, congratulations, but has anyone realized his efforts to remove troops from Afghanistan has only increased the number of troops over there? Also, every one has been complaining about how much Bush spent. I am fairly certain he has spent a ton more than Bush, just in his first few months of presidency. I feel that the media is siding with Obama. Look at how much journalists for magazines such as "The Globe" and "People" had so much crap to talk on Bush, and I have only seen one thing on Obama and his family. Call me crude, but I don't care. I hate how people say Bush was so bad, and Obama over here is most likely going to drive our country to ashes. I also agree with the fact that he is a flawed leader because he is not putting our nation's safety at best interest. If Korea nukes us, how will universal health care help that?? Ohh, lets have the dead nurses take care of the patients still alive. Also, I can't believe that any nurse or doctor would approve of universal health care economically. It will lower your wages, and make your education pointless. Yes it helps the patients, but what about the people that actually make their own living? As a country I feel we are babying the country. People need to grow a tough skin and learn how to fend for themselves.
