A good quote can lift you up when you’re feeling blue. It can inspire you to reach your goals. It can even make you laugh out loud. NursingLink members shared some of their favorites and we’d like to share some of ours.
As a nurse (or aspiring nurse!), you probably face obstacles every day – whether it’s helping a patient overcome pain, studying for your boards, or facing off against a doctor. If you need to be reminded of why being a nurse is such an amazing experience, take a look at the following quotes for some inspiring words.

Absolutely inspiring, very uplifting, refreshing, and motivating. It lifts the spirit of nurses who sometimes can feel unappreciated and taken for granted.

Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts. ~Florence Nightingale

It is fundamental for a human being to care, but when science and faith spins with care, NURSING is probably the most appropriate word, it's not just a profession rather a unqiue calling - it's a way of living with a purpose.

The reason decided to go to nursing school is this thought:
IF I JUST DO MY JOB AS A NURSE WHO KNOWS HOW MANY LIFES I CAN SAVE OR CHANGE JUST BY BEING WHO I AM I CAN HELP HEEL AND PROLONG SOMEONE'S LIFE. I CAN BE A PART OF THE TEAM THAT GIVES SOMEONE A SECOND CHANCE ALL BECAUSE I CARE

Nursing as a job there is no other, but as a profession is robotic. I would like to see us back at the bedside spending time with the patients (as a whole) including families. This is a very compassionate, healing, life changing time. We need each other!
