| Description: | Taking a temperature with a light stroke across the forehead, the TemporalScanner provides an innovative method of temperature assessment, based on infrared readings of temporal artery blood flow. The temporal artery area has a long history of temperature measurement, dating back to the early centuries before Christ. The TemporalScanner is fast, accurate, easy to use, and gentle enough to be used even on a sleeping patient. It is truly non-invasive, eliminating any discomfort caused by a thermometer inserted in the ear, mouth, or rectum, and can be used for all patients, newborns through geriatrics |

This is so easy to use. It is great for our patients that are easily startled or combative.
It is fast and very accurate. Sure beats the glass bulb in the bottom!- Flag as inappropriate

Thought the product is easy to use I do not think it is not as accurate as the oral. Our temporal scanner would sometimes give outragous temperatures that where no where near the oral. It is quicker but can be somewhat less accurate.

I've just never been overly impressed with this product. Will often give a measurement not typically seen in a living human.

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. IT'S CONSIDERABLY ACCURATE. ONLY DRAWBACK IS IT'S NOT USEFULL FOR PATIENTS UNDER A WARMER OR IN AN ISOLET, BUT WE WOULD RATHER TAKE A RECTAL OR AXILLARY TEMP ON THOSE PATIENTS ANYWAY. IT'S PARTICULARLY USEFUL IN THE RECOVERY ROOM, AS NO PATIENT CAN COOPERATE FOR AN ORAL TEMP.
