Thought the product is easy to use I do not think it is not as accurate as the oral. Our temporal scanner would sometimes give outragous temperatures that where no where near the oral. It is quicker but can be somewhat less accurate.

I don't care much for this either...seems like the two I have used at work....never work...always shut off?

I've just never been overly impressed with this product. Will often give a measurement not typically seen in a living human.

This is so great for peds.

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. IT'S CONSIDERABLY ACCURATE. ONLY DRAWBACK IS IT'S NOT USEFULL FOR PATIENTS UNDER A WARMER OR IN AN ISOLET, BUT WE WOULD RATHER TAKE A RECTAL OR AXILLARY TEMP ON THOSE PATIENTS ANYWAY. IT'S PARTICULARLY USEFUL IN THE RECOVERY ROOM, AS NO PATIENT CAN COOPERATE FOR AN ORAL TEMP.

I loved these it was so much easier to get a temp than the other ways
