    when I was in the fifth grade, a classmate died suddenlly. It was a great shock to us all. She had Leukemia. We didn't even know she was sick. She wasn't one of my closest friends but it had a huge effect on me.. It made us all realize that something like that could happen.

    I think it is wonderful that they are giving the kids a chance to process feelings.
