    Sounds like he's had it for awhile. I know that your attitude has alot to do with recovery. Not to say that he will recover from this , but his attitude may extend his life alittle longer and also improve his quality of life for his remaining time. A positive outlook can do wonders. I've seen it happen many times.

    Optimistic? I understand wanting to put your all into fighting until the end, but isn't pancreatic cancer usually very aggresive, and a fairly definitive end...someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But I was always taught that that is one form that really isn't very "treatable". I feel for Patrick...I was never one of those who thought he was extremely attractive, but I have enjoyed many of his movies. A good guy.
