    this is shocking-makes you scared to go to the hospital.This is what happened to my Mom. Things were not picked up on and she fell through the cracks. I had to bring alot of things to the staff and doctor's attention. She was admitted on a Friday after a fall with no injuries for observation. One thing after another went wrong. She ended up in ICU and died the following Monday! It was quite a shock.

    This is a very intersting article. I'm always afraid I won't pick up on subtle changes in a patient. Expecially at night when they are sleeping. They could appear to be sleeping, but have something else going on. We do have a rapid response team at our hosital and it has been utilized.
