It's a practice of days gone by, but in some circles the job is making a comeback. A wet nurse is a woman who breastfeeds someone else's baby. Could it be this bonding time between mom and baby is being increasingly outsourced? A Los Angeles area staffing agency says yes. Certified Household Staffing reports an increase in requests for wet nurses, despite a price tag that starts at a $1,000 a week.

This is an extremely appauling thought to me. There are infant formulas out there that are almost identical to breast milk, My son is 2 years old now so he's off the formula, but he is just as healthy as any kid that was breast fed, if not more. He rarely gets colds, and when he does, they are gone in 2 days. He never has a bad reaction to vaccines. I have nothing against breastfeeding MOMS, I praise them, But to hire a stranger to breast feed your child is not only sick its revolting. Ever hear dads complain that during the breast feeding times they feel that the mom has such a strong bond building and they feel left out, craving to repair the breech, well How do you feel about your child having that amazing bond and true connection with someone you hired. Plus, did anyone ever stop to think about the mental status of the women who do this for money? Who in their right mind would breast feed children that aren't theirs? Really think about that, and see how scarey of a thought that is let alone.

Sorry I'm not one that usually gets heated about articles or debates.. This just got me fuming.. I hope I didn't hurt anyones feelings.

I am VERY pro-breastfeeding, but I have A LOT of issues with this practice!
