Posted over 5 years ago I am 35 years old and am close to having my bachelors in business. I am just not making any money and since I always love to help people I am considering nursing as a career change. I am also a disabled vet from the Army and would like to combine the nursing with physical therapy. Anybody have an idea on how to get started? I would appreciate any help immensely. |

| Posted over 5 years ago Hi cbaker72, I have been doing a bit of research to get started on my own path. There are programs for those who have a degree already in something other than nursing. Each State College or University have thier own guidelines but I would defininitely look into the colleges in your area to see what they offer for Nursing as a second degree. Most of the schools I have looked into have a 14 month program to obtain your BSN. Also, most schools have programs for Vets and Disabled Vets. Check the VA department for each school you are interested in and see what article you fall under. There is so much information out there, I know I haven't even scratched the service, but I think this may steer you in the right direction.
