I worked as a Cna from 1990 until 1998. I became a traveling cna in 1996. After having 3 children, with special needs,I dropped out of school and went on disability. in 1998.  I went back to work part time as a Home Health Aide. in 2008. Everyone could not believe how it relieved my depression. I enjoy my job. I went on disability when my child was born with autism, due to a history of depression and anxiety and ptsd. My boss thinks I should get off disability and go to nursing school, but Therapist say it will only stress me out. I have no financial future on ssd. , I only have 4 core subjects to take and the nursing 1 2 3 4 for the degree...RN. I know this is very general but do you think I should go?? I would love to continue working in people's homes and be able to do hospice care. However, m lower y back and my bipolar makes the decision very hard. What is your advice. I am 51.

You know Phyllis, you never know until you try. I was 56 when I finished my RN and I do not regret it. I think you should look into yourself, you know your medical situation and make that decision.
