Posted almost 3 years ago ANy input on why it takes healthcare facilities so long to decide if they will hire you or not. It should not take weeks for them to make a decision. I would rather be told that I was not in the running. Then to be told we will make the decision in 2 weeks. Then never hear from them. Any thought or comments. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago I'm an administrator - it normally only takes weeks to make a decision if the position is a management position or a very specialized job. For staff nurses, the hiring person has almost always made the decision when all the interviews are complete. OR perhaps, especially if it's a large facility, they may not have their staffing worked out yet, they're just running interviews so they have a pool of nurses to choose from when they decide on what they need. OR, they made their decision already, hired someone, and are being very inconsiderate in not informing you. CaptainEric |

| Posted almost 3 years ago I would say if it is over two weeks. They made their decision and are to rude to respond. I think employers need to be more up front and just let you know. It is not fun playing the waiting game. My question is, would they wait 2 or 3 weeks for the nurse to make up her mind. I do not think that they would want to wait. |
