Hello from sunny Tucson, AZ.  I've got 30 years as a medical secretary in a large upper midwest hospital.  My life has been one big transition since 2007.  I graduated from a 13 month LPN program last year and am now in a fast 7 month LPN to RN ADN program.  I graduate in Nov and then take boards.  Short range plans is to get experience as med/surg nurse and then perhaps ICU or ER.  Long term plans are to be a travel nurse so my husband and I can visit each of our kids spread across the country.  I am very interested in international nursing.  Anybody have any ideas on that subject?

I know the hosiptal my wife works at that they look for traveling nurses every year during the snowbird season (winter).  We have some friends that she is an RN and he is going to school to get his PTA with the plan that they will become traveling professionals afterwords. For me I rather stay in one location. lol But it's a great way to go if you do want to get around like you and your husband want to do.
