I am new here and was hoping someone could give some insight.

I have taken all my prereqs except for statistics and Micro. I will be attending a university to obtain my BSN but with all the talk about new grads nationwide not being able to get a job is pretty scary.

I will be applying to the University of St. Francis in January and also making plans to apply for the Radiography program there to because of the issues I am hearing about new grad nurses.

I am trying to decide which one I should go for first. They are both dealing with patients which I love.

Penny for your thoughts

RNdude is right. You need to follow you heart.

With that said there are less jobs out there for radiography then there are for nurses but if you really have a desire to be a radiographer then take a hold of it and make it happen.

Really the biggest key to finding any job is networking. While your in school and doing your clinical have the mindset that this is you job. What do I mean by that? I mean you show up everday to work hard. You need to put on your best. In doing so you also are working to make contacts with the people you will be working with after you graduate. Don't make enemies. Be very resepctful to those your working with. In doing this you will most likely find your first job out of college through you contacts during your clinicals.
