I am a new grad LPN and can't find a job.  Nobody wants a new grad or say that there is no money in the budget for orientation

You can also try private duty, doctors offices etc.  Sadly it is hard even for a experiened nurse.  Also, put your resume on career buider and monster.com. That may help as well.

Congrats on getting your LPN! I too, am a new grad, and I got my job through my career services department at my school. Also, keep in touch with your classmates, because that's how a lot of my friends got jobs as well.  If your friend gets hired, they can keep you informed if there are any more openings, and provide a reference.

Also try corrections, nursing homes, and agencies.

Good luck to you!

congrads, I know it can be hard to find a job. Try nursing homes and rehabs. There are a few that hire new nurses. WHere are you located in Jersey?

I graduated in 2008 and still havent found a full time job. I do get to work at giving flu shots during flu season. I think its because I didnt have any experience as a cna which would have helped

I have found that a lot of facilities here in Central Jersey are not hiring new nurses. They all want experience. Well, If they cannot work as a new nurse how do they get it. Our facility was hiring new nurses. It was very difficult, but our staff worked with the newbies and  we have some good "new" nurses now. Someone must give the new nurses a chance. It can be difficult to teach a new nurse when you are working with limited staff. As long as the nurse has a good head on their shoulders and is willing to learn hands on then it can be a successful experiance. Good luck to all the new nurses.
