Posted almost 3 years ago hello all. Just wanted to introduce myself. my name is Janell and i graduated May 2010 from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's Nursing program. It was tough but im glad I made it out of there! I am studying for the NCLEX currently. I am hoping to get a position soon, however a week after graduation I found out that I was pregnant! talk about perfect timing :). I guess now i have been a little discouraged on the job search because of my condition (that sounds funny), but I'm hoping that someone will see my potential :) I believe that I am going to be an awesome nurse! I love nursing and I can't wait to explore all the career opportunities that we have. We make such a difference in peoples lives and I love that feeling. My preceptor continues to tell me how patients from the oncology unit come in a ask for me. As a student, that is a great compliment. Im just looking to find some like minded individuals here for some advice and encouragement and hopefully some friendships! Janell :) |

| Posted almost 3 years ago Hi Janell! Congratulations on graduating! Good luck taking the NCLEX & in your chosen career! CONGRATS ON THE BABY ! Don't worry about the pregnancy hindering your chances for getting a job! I worked til the day I delivered each of my 4 children. I also applied for & got hired midway through my last pregnancy. In the health care field, we are blessed to be able to choose to work between the various shifts & every day of the week, which is an asset when raising children.Best wishes to you! |
