Posted almost 3 years ago The career of nursing is in itself a position that is truely helpful. It is also one that pays. How have you gone above and beyond the call of duty to make someone's day brighter? All is Well |

| Posted over 2 years ago Today? 1. Visited my wife's uncle in the hospital (1 hr drive away). 2. Picked up a case for a friends computer at Goodwill, because they cannot afford one. 3. Bought new clothes for my granddaughter. 4. Gave advice over the phone for someone who forgot their melatoin. 5. Helped my wife in the water do her PT. If we all sat down and really thought about it, that is probably an average day for any nurse or good Boy Scout :-) Tom, PhD, MPH, BS(N), RN-C, CHN |

| Posted about 2 years ago The job of a nurse is one whereas the nurse is always helping someone. As it it involves humanitarin responsibilities, the job is never complete. The pay mentioned is not inteneded to compensate for service rendered, it serves as a compensatory contribution to the nurse to navigate through live, i.e affordability to meeting personal needs, et al,and participating in the economy. the job of nursing is one of servitude. |
