Hello, I am new to this forum.. I am in nursing school for Associates, I should be graduating Sept 25. Unfortunantly, I am going to have to retake a class that helps study for the state boards.. I have been in the program too long, so they are making me step out for a year. (Per policy) I am finishing my medical surgical course so I will only have to take that one class. So, instead of me going to take the NCLEX-RN, I will be taking the NCLEX-PN until I can go back in a year to finish that one class. My question is... what is the difference of the exams does anyone know? I already have everything to study for the NCLEX-RN, can I just study that and still pass the NCLEX-PN or are they totally different? Please help!! Also, how long did you study before taking the boards? I am making out a schedule for myself so that I can study throughly for my medical surgical class and start studying for the NCLEX-PN. I don't know anything about the PN exam. Thank you in advance!

Both of the exams are basically the saem except for the RN has priority and delegation questions. The medical/medication pieces are the same. Good Luck
