ADN or BSN

Posted over 2 years ago Is it true that people who get an Associate's Degree in Nursing will have to take direction from a nurse with a BSN? My friend told me that if I want to get an associate's in nursing, I will have to take orders from a nurse that has a BSN, I thought that in adn programs we take the NCLEX-RX test, and we can work on the same level as the other nurses and she also told me that I would only draw blood and things of that nature, so that means I should get a BSN instead? |

| Posted over 2 years ago From my experience ADN and BSN nurses work side by side. Lately when I am looking for a new job, I have noticed a lot of management positions open that require or prefer a BSN. My current supervisor has an Associates, however they are "prepping" her assistant for the position when she retires. They are strongly "ENCOURAGING" the assistant to get her BSN. I think it depends on where you want to go with your nursing career. |
