Posted over 5 years ago Hello, I'm interested in becomeing a nurse. I have a BA in business administration so I'm looking into the second-degree accelarated type BSN programs. Right now I am in a program taking care of some pre-req courses mostly sciences to prep for the nursing courses. I work full time so I'm slowly getting through these courses. (i found a program that offers 6 week sessions with classes twice a week at night). My question is if there is anything I can do now to prepare myself for my future career and help me get into a good nursing program, any suggestions would help. I'm really not sure where to start or who to ask in terms of volunteer opportunities that would be available to someone like me who has no experience in the field. I'd really like to look into becoming a public health nurse or some extension of that avenue of nursing. any suggestions would be really appreciated-i have had been having difficulty with this process but this nursing link has provided some answers to my questions. cheers |
