I'm a new grad and the only job I got offered was being a hemodyalysis nurse at Davita. I was just wondering if the job is any good and if hospitals would even consider me after one year of dyalysis expierence? I just need some advice. Thanks!

Hey that's great!  I am a new grad also but was turned down by Davita. I would definitely take it, you can always keep looking while you work. I have been looking about 6 months now with no luck.

My advice for this situation is simply stated: any experience is better than no experience. If the job offer appeals to you then go for it, unless your anticipating another opportunity around the corner. You can always leave if something better comes along (unless you sign a contract that is) so I say go for it. Dialysis might be a specialty- but it will at least give you nursing experience (compared to NO nursing experience.) Positions have been extremely competative (not very many openings) so if your given an offer think it over, maybe it's not your thing, but how badly do you want to work as a nurse right now?

Davita is fairly well known company so they should have some good opportunities to offer, best of luck!
