Ok, I just took my NCLEX this afternoon. I finished at around 3pm with 75 questions.... I came out at the testing center crying because I really am not sure whether I passed or not... :(

Everything's done, now the waiting is the hardest part...

I want to try the Pearson Vue trick so bad, that I did it 3 hours after the exam...

I registered again and got a message saying: Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Pls contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.

So what does that mean? Is it something negative? ^^; I really am worried.... Or was I too early to try the Pearson Vue trick?

You passed, I just took my NCLEX on Wednesday did the pearsonvue trick and got the same message. Then I checked to see if I really passed on the Florida Board of Nursing and saw that I passed.

I just really hope so. How about the letter from BRN, how many weeks did it arrive?

Since you folks took the NCLEX recently how can you advise someone who has failed it and been out of school 2 years? I am an old nurse who is trying to find the best study guide to help my daughter-n-law pass the boards. I figure I need some review and if I do it with her it may inspire her.  I want to get the best and most up to date study material and basically have school for 3-4 months.  Also I am told boards are about pharmacology and delegation at this point.  Is this true?

hi harrista,

I failed the NCLEX-RN first time around with 205 questions. I was so nervous that I couldn't focus on the exam. Everything was a blur and after question 180, i lost all hope. My anxiety level got the best of me. I even took the Kaplan prep course!!! The NCLEX is not an exam that you can study for like the exams in school because it tests your analytic and critical thinking skills. Practice a lot of questions that are going to make you think. SOmetimes it is easier said then done. re-apply to re-take your boards as soon as possible but give yourself enough time to prep also. Every morning for a month I spent 4 hours studying using Saunders CD-ROM and ATI. My university provides us with ATI prep test and after I graduated I was still able to access the website and study from it. 4 hours feels like its forever, but it is so worth it. I learned relaxation techniques to help me calm my nerves. I studied up until the day I took my test. I even downloaded ATI's NCLEX onto my iphone and would practice from it while I'm waiting in line at the store or when I'm going somewhere. The day before my exam, I spent the day relaxing and not thinking about it. On the day of the exam I told myself that I could do this because I have seen the layout of the test before and took in deep breaths. I ended at 75 questions, did the pearson vue trick and found out I passed. Dedication is key, I would recommend Saunders because the CD has a lot of tough questions and it really makes you think. Also read the rationales for the questions whether you got them right or wrong. I hope this will help you. Best of all luck to you.

I took the NCLEX on a Tuesday and by Wednesday morning the results were already posted on the FLDOH website, however Pearson Vue did not show that the results were available for two more days and then they wanted me to pay to review the results.

Hi Harrista

I still don't know whether I passed or not. But me, I'm also out of school for 2 years. It's my first time to take the NCLEX. I think  having exam anxiety is pretty common among all of us who are to take the exam, but a lot of people advised me not to get carried away by anxiety since it can really mess up your mind and you have the tendency to have mental block.

What I did when I was in the testing center, I took a deep breathe, I told myself to relax and think of it as if I were just at home doing something with my desktop.

I used a lot of resources when I studied. I also used Kaplan and Saunders. I spent 3-4 hours of study a day, and sometimes I go beyond that. I also had practice questions each time I'm done reading with my notes.

I had lots of pharmacology and delegation point too when I had my exam 2 days ago.

Did anyone take the NCLEX on a Saturday and tried the Person Vue trick that same day? I tested today and felt like i failed. I tried to re register and it let me go to the credit card info which supposedly means I failed.

I didn't take it on Saturday but when I took my exam, I actually tried the PVT 3 hours after. And then I got the pop-up message telling me to contact Member board.

Thanks. It hasn't even been 3 hours so maybe I should be patient and try again later...

Yep, the best thing to do is to wait for the official result. That's the hardest part for me... :( California doesn't participate in Quick Results.

The best way to find out, is to really wait for the official results. If you see your name on the BRN site, or receive the letter from the BRN saying you did pass, then I guess there's no more reason for you to be in doubt. Because in my case, even though I had the positive pop-up in trying pearson vue trick, I didn't rely much on it. Instead I really waited until my name appeared on the website.

Glad to hear that you passed.  Have you been able to use your new license yet?  Did you get a job in the area you were hoping to work in?

Unfortunately I haven't made use of my license yet... And because there isn't much opportunities here on my end, I decided to go back to school...

Goldy, I don't think that it is to prmature to tell you congratulations on passing your exam..Now, please don't hold me to it, but it is my expierence that the ones that get turned off the computer at about the same amount of questions that you had, have passed. I found that the examiners that have to go to the hundreds of answers, dont fare as well.. This is just what I have seen.. So, If I was you , I would check again.. But, I would take a deep breath and relax. Best wishes to you in all of your future endeavors and please keep us posted...God Bless you...I would also like to say, as a moderator on this site, I'd like to welcome you to NL.. It is my pleasure to assist you in any way while on this site..Teresa

I took my boards on 1/31/12, it took me a half hour to get home and by then my status on the Vue.come/nclex site already said "Delivery Successful" as soon as you see this you can try the trick! If you recieve the pop up saying:

"our records indicate that you have previoiusly scheduled this exam" --> YOU PASSED!!! I just recieved my unoffical update that I did pass so i know this trick works!

Best of luck to everyone!!

Yea it works.  Took my test on Feb1,2011.  Like a lot of people I though no way this works, however, got the "good message" and found out on feb 3,2011 after paying to get my results quick that I passed.
