This is my response to the Head Nurse's question What are you thankful for.  He/She thought it might be a good idea for me to put my response here, so here it is.

I've found that despite spending all this year as an unemployed RN, I have some things to be thankful for.  My daughter is healthy, in an environment and with someone who is good to her (She's in Illinois, 26 yrs old).  I  volunteer at a pregnancy crisis center, and have found friends there who have been helping me since I started being unemployed.  They've helped me more than I thought they would.  My landlord has been very understanding regarding my rent.  I'm thankful that I don't have any health condition requiring regular medicine or treatment.  I'm also thankful, have always been for myex-husband's family, my daughter's father's side. I'm thankful for the good memories I have of my brother and his wife, and her family.   Most of all I'm thankful for the Catholic faith that I believe God has led me to, as well as the Orthodox Presbyterian faith I grew up with prior to my conversion in 1999.

I thank God, for making everything I do and have possible. I have been truly blessed. I am thankful for such supportive family and friends... I could have made it through all of this without them. I am also thankful for my new edition of friends here at NL.
