Posted over 2 years ago Good luck! Many of my classmates challenged the Nclex-PN after our third semester & thought it was not difficult. That was 11 years ago, however.

Yay! You should be really proud of yourself. I am nervous now, because I set my date - December 7. I'm all committed now. |

Posted over 2 years ago Thank you very much! I studied the N-clex book, n-clex cd, and the n-clex cards. The cd and cards get you ready for the kind of questions thereae on the test. The book, I just startd reading from the beginning, all the way through, to refresh my memory. And after each capter did he questions behind it. Best of luck to both of you, I will sent out a prayer !

Posted over 2 years ago Thank you! I'm gonna need it. Our school actually gave us a 12 day "course" in NCLEX. We sat at computers almost all day taking practice tests, and in areas that we were weak, they would give us some refreshers. They also gave us Saunders NCLEX with a cd, which from my understanding from previous grads, was the closest to the actual test. I did pretty well in the practices, but I get a little worried with all the pharmacology. Some of the practice questions were about drugs that we had never gone over in class. Sigh, I will continue to study up until that date. Meditation to keep calm will probably help as well.

Posted over 2 years ago Yes Stephie, the pharmacology got me too, but you know, not even the doctors know all the meds, guess what, they look them up! So know your basic drugs, pay attention on how they end, that can tell you alot on what kind a drug they are. Yes , you got the same n-clex book as me, so you are studying the right one. We also started on ATI testing, that helped alot , even it was hard to learn, it is a little different then the n-clex, but it is harder and if you can pass in the last month the ATI test, you are pretty much set when it comes to the n-clex. Our school, since it started the ATI testing had a 100% passing on the n-clex since April this year!!! Godd luck and happy studying to you.

Posted over 2 years ago We did get to do the ATI one day. I did pretty well on that apparently, as my instructor told me that she hadn't seen a percentage that high on this test. It sounds like I've got a good foundation then. Thanks Michaela for the information. I will particularly concentrate on the drugs and on lab values. 100% passing is great for your school! Now, how's the job prospecting going? Gitano - I sure will!

Posted over 2 years ago Michaela68...Congrats!!!!! Thanks for responding to my question.... I have been using Ati again since my first attempt, Saunders w/ Cd, Saunders Flash cards and Kaplan Test taking Strategy Book (helps you learn how to answer questions even if you have no clue what it is) I agree, Ati is difficult but hopefully all this combined will equal Nclex success :) Good Luck to all Nov. and Dec. test takers. We can do this!

Posted over 2 years ago Finding a job! It's harder than I thought it would be. We have 3 area hospitals, all needing staff, but they refuse to hire LPNs. Once I work awhile, I plan on going back to school to further my education. Thanks for the congrats! I'm happy for us all!

Posted over 2 years ago Thank you! I would appreciate it. Can anyone tell me why new licenses expire at different times? My classmates and I have noticed that although we've taken the boards around the same time, we have various expiration dates - from a few months up to a year. Does anyone know why this happens?
