Im a med tech i get a $1 more than CNA $11/HOUR. A regular CNA wipes BM’s all day. And just because you are a Meciation Aide doesn’t exclude you from that work i gotta do that work along with BMs.

I love the CNA's!!! They do more then wipe BM's all day. Us nurses would be lost without them. I am a RN and it is not beneath me to clean up BM or help someone with a transfer or take a patient to the bathroom while a CNA is giving showers, passing trays, answering call lights, getting people ready for bed, taking them to their activities and so on. If the reason is money because you only get $1.00 more an hour, continue your education and move up.

CNAs, med techs, physical therapists, RN, etc....all work as a team for the team in order to achieve wellness for the patient. I am an RN and I need these people and coworkers to do my job successfully. I think a lot of the medical field workers are under paid.

I started out as a CNA to see if nursing was the field for me and it was so I continued my education from LPN ro RN.

well put tedebear! I think that climbing the "medical ladder" is a good way to go. It sure gives you an appreciation for what CNAs actually do! Being a CNA IS a VERY rewarding job if you're doing it for the right reasons...and so is moving up and advancing in your career in the nursing field.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming "Woo-hoo"!!!
